Does my child need an evaluation?

Your child does not need an evaluation to use Fox & Hedgehog’s tutoring services. If your child has been evaluated, we will use that information to focus our strategies.

How does the process work?

After you contact us, we have an intake process during which we find out more about your child, including their interests, learning profile, and other needs. We then match you with a learning specialist who is a good fit for your child.

Where does the tutoring take place?

We work with students where and when it is convenient for them. We travel to students’ homes in many parts of Boston, Cambridge, Brookline, Newton, Wellesley, and surrounding towns.

How long is each session?

Sessions are generally an hour in length. We start with one session per week but can tailor our schedules to meet students’ needs.

How do we work with schools?

We like to be partners working in collaboration with parents and schools. Our learning specialists will reach out to your child’s teachers, counselors, or doctors—with your permission—to make sure we are working consistently with the other professionals who are helping your child.

Do you help adults?

Yes, we can work with adults with learning differences and organizational challenges to help them be more effective at school and work. We also work with college students.
